This new service is called <strong>eAlert</strong>.<br /><strong>eAlert </strong>will allow us to notify you of weather emergencies and make you aware of other important news via email and/or text message.</p> <p>This service is very easy to subscribe to :</p> <p><strong>For email</strong> <strong>eAlerts </strong>, click on the eAlert button in the navigation bar of <a href="http://www.prairiland.net/">our district’s home page</a>, or <a href="http://www.prairiland.net/display/dist/maillists">click here</a>. This will open a subscription page. You simply enter the email address that you want to receive <strong>eAlerts</strong> and click subscribe , then click submit.</p> <p><strong>For text message</strong> <strong>eAlerts</strong> follow basically the same procedure. Click the <strong>eAlert</strong> button on the navigation bar and the subscription page will pop up. This time enter your 10 digit phone number plus your carrier’s “SMS” address and click subscribe , then click submit.&nbsp; If you do not know your carriers “SMS” address&nbsp; , click <a href="http://www.prairiland.net/file/7490/download">here</a> to see a list of all carriers, <a href="http://www.prairiland.net/file/7490/download">Email To SMS Email Address List</a>. If you cannot find your carrier’s address here , call them and they will be able to provide it for you.</p> <p>You can subscribe to both email <strong>eAlerts</strong> and text message <strong>eAlerts</strong>. If later you want to change either address click the <strong>eAlerts</strong> button , enter the address and unsubscribe , then subscribe with the new address.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12px;"><strong>Note : Check the subscription page periodically to check for new eAlerts as we add them.
